couplesYou’re young, carefree, silly and in love! Well, you think it’s love. But, what you know, for sure, is…you love being around this person, love talking with this person, love sharing parts of your life with this person.

So, what’s the problem? You’re just friends – nothing romantic, nothing sensuous, nothing of the happily-ever-after stuff! There’s a certain joy AND a certain sadness in and about this relationship.

The years pass – your feelings never change. Sometimes you wonder about the “Could have been’s…” and the “What if’s…” and dream of a different tomorrow.

Yet, the secret is kept hidden deep within your heart….for if known, you risk that feelings aren’t mutual and the warmth of your soul fading, your heart aching…the invalidation of rejection – a wanting to get lost in the dreams of yesterday for it’s too painful to be in the moment of “now”.

One day, you awaken and the moment of now is in front of you. Do you turn a blind eye or do you dare look…the truth awaits to enlighten you.

You chose to seize the moment and take your chance – you open your eyes, your heart, your soul – mystery solved-now you know!

Truth is sometimes painful – but, truth is truth!

You can now step out of the past into the future…moving forward to find the real love of your life, where feelings are mutual, where a great love combines two souls into one space, where two hearts are full and life has new meaning!

Because of the past, you can now appreciate the future!

Who’s ya Daddy?

June 11, 2009

Henry Eugene Waller was born on April 16, 1930 in Kingston, TX.  He passed away August of 2001.  He was 71 years young!

His friends knew him as “Gene”.  His grandchildren and great-grandchildren loved him as “Pops”.  To me, he was simply my “Daddy”.

His life was one of hard work, a large circle of friends, trips to Casino’s and more love for family than I could ever imagine – until he was gone.

For some reason, we think our parents will live forever.  Why shouldn’t they?   Think about it…they love us unconditionally, always there when we need help, a place to crash when we have no place else to go,  lend an ear when we need to talk,  a shoulder when we need to cry,  words of wisdom we seem to resent, advice we know we can’t possibly take, unspoken forgiveness and the list  goes on and on and on!  What perfect people to have in our life!

It’s funny how, the older I get, the smarter my parents become!

I always remembered Daddy on Father’s Day.  There was a phone call, a card, a gift  or something. He was always acknowledged! Today is no different!

I was my Daddy’s first child and only daughter.  We had some rough years, when I was growing-up but ended our time together with love, understanding, forgiveness and peace.  I was with him the moment he took his last breath!

When Daddy died, I was given responsibility to pass his legacy to my children and grandchildren.  I hope I am doing him proud!

Today, I celebrate Daddy’s Day!  I hope you will join me and, whatever your relationship, whatever the memories, celebrate your Daddy…one day you will be very glad you did!

Happy Fathers Day, Daddy!  I love and miss you!

Your Daughter…Sandi

That would be “me”!

I am a 57 year old woman and proud of it!   I have been single for over 10 years…maybe or maybe not so proud of that!

My Mom (God bless her), when I was born,  forgot to give me my Life Instruction Booklet.   I thought maybe I would finally get it when I became a teenager (she must have misplaced it during those years).

My Mom died when she was 65 – I was 45.   I searched and searched the house and never found the book….so, here I am!

I believe the times don’t change-people change the times!   So, I continually attend the School of Life- the most popular, well-known. most expensive school of learning!   I have spent endless hours of personal research, made a trillion mistakes, felt the greatest of losses and have loved to the very depth of my soul!

I have a great vision for this blog. My goal is to share, for you to share, and together we can learn how to live a better, higher quality and happy life!

Let me know you stopped by!  Your comments, ideas, hopes, dreams and prayers are important!

Welcome to our journey……now, let’s talk!

Hugs,
Sandi
